This week we had 61 new APIs added to our API directory including a currency exchange rates service, social polling service, a social network for artists, data preservation and authentication service, cloud storage service and a public transit data aggregation service. This past week 19 new mashups were added to our mashup directory and 27 different APIs were used to build them. Some of the newer or less frequently seen APIs include Adobe Social, awe.sm, ChannelAdvisor, Facebook Ads, Gigya, Groupon, Nozbe, Plancast, Rovi Cloud Services and voo2do. The most often used APIs this week are geocoder, Google Maps and Loxcel. And the most commonly used types of APIs were Social (6 APIs, 8 mashups), Shopping (3 APIs, 3 mashups) and Video (3 APIs, 3 mashups). The list below shows which APIs were used by which mashups:

Some of the newer or less frequently seen APIs include AgentRank, Amazon RDS Relational Database Service, Burstn, Facebook Social Plugins, Foxrate, Google Gmail OAuth, Google Prediction, Instapaper, Loxcel, PicPlz, Quora, SendGrid, Snapr and Twitter Streaming. The most often used APIs this week are Google Maps, Twilio and Twilio SMS.
