50 APIs Used in 7 Days: Last.fm, Foursquare and Dropbox

This past week 8 new mashups were added to our mashup directory and 50 different APIs were used to build them. Some of the newer or less frequently seen APIs include Acapela, APIfy, AuthorityLabs Account, AuthorityLabs Partner, Boxcar, Buffer, Diigo, Google Sites , Gravatar, Instapaper, Pinboard, Plurk, Pocket, Posterous, Readability , Scoop.it, Svpply, Weather Central, WordPress.com, Yammer and Zootool. The most often used APIs this week are Last.fm, Twitter and YouTube. And the most commonly used types of APIs were Social (9 APIs, 10 mashups), Bookmarks (6 APIs, 6 mashups) and Internet (5 APIs, 5 mashups). Some of the newer or less frequently seen APIs include Allogarage, Brown Paper Tickets, Evri, GeoAdmin, mydigitalstructure and QuickBlox. The most often used APIs this week are Brown Paper Tickets, Google Maps and QuickBlox. This week we had 88 new APIs added to our API directory including an SMS messaging service, virtual server management service, website user and profile management service, business publication search service, proximity platform and telegram hand delivery service.
