Today in APIs: Facebook, Amazon and 13 New APIs

FacebookToday Facebook announced 60 approved partners for its Open Graph, which allows them to add actions to the Facebook Timeline. Amazon also added a new API to its cloud offerings, a homegrown NoSQL database. That was among the 13 new APIs on a busy day in APIs.

This week we had 53 new APIs added to our API directory including a photo sharing service, web application analytics service, video chat service, Recovery Act 2009 data, web advertising analytics service and a cloud database service. Below are more details on each of these new APIs.

50 New APIs This Week: USA Today, Google, SimpleGeo and Shutterfly

This week we had 50 new APIs added to our API directory, including the 17 we covered earlier. The 33 remaining include an online coupons and discounts service, shipping rate calculator, online payment service, cloud-based telephony application platform, website reputation service and a photo sharing platform. Below is more detail on each of these new APIs.

Continuing from yesterday’s note on 250 APIs here, this week also saw the mashup listings hit 900 entries. The overall distribution by type hasn’t changed all that much of late with mapping, photos, search, and shopping making-up the bulk of the listings.
