Mapping APIs and map mashups are the definitive form of mashup platform and application. From Google Maps to AOL Mapquest to Microsoft Virtual Earth and Yahoo! Maps, there are over 50 mapping-related APIs.
So in keeping with this week’s mapping theme, if you look at APIs sorted by type on ProgrammableWeb you can see there are now 44 APIs in the mapping category.
