Andrés FerrateAndrés is the founder of Cartosoft, a technology startup focused on expanding the reach of geospatial technology to a broader audience through the Internet. Andrés became interested in APIs and mashups after working extensively with map mashups that help organizations address a diverse set of challenges by leveraging emerging web technologies. Prior to founding Cartosoft, Andrés was Vice President of Operations for Geographic Technologies Group, a leading provider of geospatial services and software for local governments. Andrés has worked in the public, private, and non-profit sectors, including experience working for various startups, metropolitan planning organizations (MPOs), The World Bank, and as a volunteer for various non-profits. |
