This week, we had 54 new APIs added to our API directory including a web application for biomedical concept information, a backend-as-a-service for building and maintaining applications, and an image processing service API. We also added several new “how-to” blogposts, from how to visualize Twitter updates over time to how to use the Twilio API.


41 New APIs: Bitcoins, iOnRoad, and ApartmentsApart

This week, we had 41 new APIs added to our API directory including a payroll service API, an open-source database for Bitcoin averages, and a weather service that provides information on ski and mountain conditions. We also discuss how Cisco is providing a foundation for the emerging “Internet of Things (IoT)” phenomenon.


52 New APIs: Redbox, Burning Man, and Quantcast

This week we had 43 new APIs added to our API directory including a service aimed to help government agencies utilize the internet to promote openness and citizen participation, an application to inform gym users of how busy the gym is, and a recipe database search engine. In addition, we profiled a savings account core processing platform.


12 APIs Used in 7 Days: BitStamp, CloudMade and Mt Gox

This past week 6 new mashups were added to our mashup directory and 12 different APIs were used to build them. Some of the newer or less frequently seen APIs include BitStamp and Realtime Register. The most often used APIs this week are BTC-eCampBX and Mt Gox. And the most commonly used types of APIs were Financial (4 APIs, 4 mashups), Mapping (3 APIs, 3 mashups) and Music (2 APIs, 2 mashups).
