Edamam, a company committed to helping people eat better by using technology to capture, organize and distill “the world’s food knowledge,” announced at NY Tech Day the release of the Edamam Nutrition API so that third-party developers can use the Edamam platform to create innovative food and recipe applications.
EBSCO announced that Sweden’s Stockholm University has selected the EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) which includes custom integration of the EDS API into the institution’s library software platform. The University was looking for a reliable search and discovery solution that would be easy to integrate with the existing library software platform.

Even to the most casual observer it’s pretty apparent that developers will be accessing ever increasingly larger amounts of data via an API. The challenge is finding the right cloud-based platform capable of facilitating the integration of all that data at acceptable performance levels.
