SoundCloudOur API directory now includes 51 audio APIs. The newest is the Umano API. The most popular, in terms of mashups, is the SoundCloud API. We list 27 SoundCloud mashups. Below you’ll find some more stats from the directory, including the entire list of audio APIs.

Toma.hkFor music fans who enjoy listening to playlists on their laptops or desktops, Tomahawk is a music player with a few extra bells and whistles that may be of some interest. It’s an open-source, cross-platform music player, which means it enables a user to play music stored on their own hard drives as well as from a variety of other music sources like Spotify, SoundCloud, YouTube and more. The Toma.hk API makes this functionality available to developers or users to add songs to websites.


17 APIs Used in 7 Days: Weather Underground, Bing Maps and Facebook Graph

This past week 8 new mashups were added to our mashup directory and 17 different APIs were used to build them. Some of the newer or less frequently seen APIs include exfm, GeoNB, Mogreet and VK. The most often used APIs this week are SoundCloud, VK and YouTube. And the most commonly used types of APIs were Social (4 APIs, 4 mashups), Music (4 APIs, 4 mashups) and Reference (2 APIs, 2 mashups). The list below shows which APIs were used by which mashups:
