This week we had 91 new APIs added to our API directory including a business process service, geocoding service, licensed photography platform, student verification service, and a newsletter management service. We also covered an API to hack the Gibson and a service that turns your email inbox into an application platform. Below are more details on each of these new APIs.

Connect to Our Collective Consciousness with PeopleBrowsr

PeoplebrowsrPeopleBrowsr is another “noise to signal” processor of the social media tidal wave.  The Research.ly platform they provide is impressive and engaging.  I had to pry myself away from it.  It is a tool to answer the question, “who in this social media landscape is relevant on this topic?” but that is just the beginning.  The PeopleBrowsr API is a pay to play way to gain social media intelligence.

Twitter’s Other Ecosystem: Twitter-derived APIs Double in One Year

TwitterLast April we wrote about How Twitter’s 1 API Gave Birth to 43 New APIs. One year later, there are now 86 Twitter-derived APIs in our directory. The growth of Twitter-based APIs outpaced Twitter mashups, an area we also saw a lot of growth. There are now nearly 600 Twitter mashups. It wasn’t even a year ago that we marked the 400 Twitter mashup milestone.

52 New APIs: MasterCard, Joyent and AT&T

This week we had 52 new APIs added to our API directory including some from big companies. For example, we wrote about MasterCard’s ambitious platform. Other new APIs included cloud computing software, a text to speech service, media conversion tools, ATM location service, content access billing service and quite a bit more.
