PubNub Releases Connected Car Solution Kit

Connected cars are one of the primary use cases for the Internet of Things (IoT) that capture the imagination of the general public and developers alike. At the Machine-2-Machine (M2M) Evolution Conference that was held this week at part of a larger ITEXPO event, PubNub announced that it is making available a Connected Car Solution Kit that developers can employ to access a range back-end cloud services that will enable to them to more easily build and deliver connected car applications.


PubNub Moves Into Connected Car Market

Riot Games API gives access to League of Legends Data

League of Legends, a multiplayer online battle arena video game is one of the most popular games of all time. Riot Games, publisher of the game, is poised to take it to new heights by listening to developer requests to provide access to game data. The newly released Riot Games API will give developers just that and with the tag of the most played video game in the world with 32 million plays every month, the possibilities are going to be interesting.

APIs to Stream Car Crash Data to 911 Systems in Real-Time

Even in the age where services such as OnStar from General Motors can be used to call for help in the event of an automobile accident, seconds still matter when it comes to major trauma injuries. As part of an effort to save more lives by relaying critical information faster, Rave Mobile Safety and public safety officials from King County, Washington, in cooperation with automotive providers of telematics data such as OnStar, demonstrated how APIs are being used to stream information in real time to the call centers manned by emergency services personnel.
