Of the many APIs we published this week, thirteen were highlighted on the blog by our team of writers. In this post, we’ll shine a spotlight on those thirtenn, which include the StatusPage API. The StatusPage API provides developers with a solution to customer communication when their site or application is experiencing downtime. Specifically, it provides notification tools (email and SMS), downtime monitoring, insight into performance metrics, and customer customization. New tools and accessibility options have been added to the Opendatacommunities API to extend ease-of-access to the UK Government’s five-star dataset managed by the Department for Communities and Local Governments. Datasets include neighborhood-level analysis of housing and homelessness, quality of life indicators, and wellbeing measures.
A showcase of visualizations and interactive dashboards has been created to demonstrate how developers, data analysts and local communities can use the open datasets to better understand the interplay of economic and lifestyle factors on specific neighborhoods across the UK.
This week we had 39 new APIs added to our API directory including a home and electronic device automation service, mobile application building and management service, application status page platform, multi-factor authentication for smartphones and tablets and external vulnerability scanning solution. In addition we covered a cloud based time-tracking platform and a face recognition API. Below are more details on each of these new APIs.
