56 New APIs: TrackMatching, Goldstar and Primadesk

This week we had 56 new APIs added to our API directory including a web service matching GPS data to maps, discount ticket service, cloud and web application management service, daily deals aggregator and cloud shipping system. We also covered a malware detection API and an app providing real-time transit info. Below are more details on each of these new APIs.

HeyWatch’s Robot API Simplifies Video Encoding Integration

HeyWatch recently launched its Robot API to make it easier for developers to integrate the company’s video encoding platform into third-party applications. HeyWatch, which is based in France, takes the work out of video conversion and encoding.

Of the many APIs we published this week, ten were highlighted on the blog by our team of writers. In this post, we’ll shine a spotlight on those ten, which included the Video Preview API. The API was released by the HeyWatch company, cloud video encoding leader, to allow users the ability to create image previews from a video. These screen shots act as a video story board, providing viewers with the ability to see with more detail what the contents of a video are. Through the API, users can generate image previews from a video with hopes to inspire user engagement, conversions, and number of views. The API generates a storyboard style set of screenshots to intrigue a viewer.
