This week we had 59 new APIs added to our directory and our staff picked their favorites. Among them include a travel guide publications API, a service that accesses a hate speech repository, a customer service platform and a museum collection API. Read below for more information on each.

This week we had 59 new APIs added to our API directory including a content management system for applications, file sharing and organizing service, text processing and translation service, product customization service, and multi-channel commerce platform. In addition we covered an issue tracking API and an API for managing email newsletters. Below are more details on each of these new APIs.


API Spotlight: Hackpad, Ubivox, and Droplr APIs

HackPadOf the many APIs we published this week, six were highlighted on the blog by our team of writers. In this post, we’ll shine a spotlight on those six, which include the Hackpad API. Hackpad is a collaborative tool that allows groups of people to edit a document in real time. The API simply makes this functionality available for developers to integrate into their apps or websites. Offering a similar interface to that of Google Docs, Hackpad allows users to login to the service through their Google, email, and Facebook credentials. Contentful API: Platform-Agnostic Content Distribution Has Arrived

The API service uses a presentation agnostic platform to allow content to be distributed across any device or application. Built from the knowledge and experience gained when Contentful founders managed StorageRoom – a platform used by over 1,000 international customers to push content to applications – the new Contentful has taken the lessons learned to create a wholly new content management system.
