Inside MailChimp’s Innovative No Equity $1 Million API Fund

MailChimpEmail marketing service provider MailChimp announced last week a new $1 million dollar fund for startups building products that integrate with the service’s MailChimp API. MailChimp’s program is somewhat unique in that they won’t be asking for equity from the companies they fund. It’s a pretty attractive deal for prospective partners and a trail-blazing move for a platform in an increasingly competitive industry.


Contactology Updates API, Goes REST Over SOAP

ContactologyContactology, an Email Marketing service, has announced the release of its API. The new API Version 2 has big changes that make it more developer friendly. First, it adopts the REST style over Version 1 that was based on SOAP. It also provides data as developer-preferred JSON. The changes make the API easier to use, which is good for everyone.


7 New APIs: Flash Maps, Favicons, Domain Name Search, Email Marketing, and Jobs

This week we had 7 new APIs added to our API directory ranging from an API for managing email marketing campaigns, an API for searching for available domain names, an API for finding facvicons, an API for Google Sites, a ringtone search API, a social recruiting platform API, and an API for creating embeddable maps (which we covered in Map Any Image With New UMapper Release).
