Of the many APIs we published this week, fifteen were highlighted on the blog by our team of writers. In this post, we’ll shine a spotlight on those fifteen, which included the The Xchangeonline API. The Xchangeonline API is a tool that provides developers with currency conversion and rounding functionalities that can be integrated into their applications. Developers simply request the URL, specifying the desired function, the amount, the current currency, the desired currency, and of course their API key. The service can convert between 100 different currencies worldwide with the option of more currencies given a more expensive plan.
Many of us have far too much on our minds and are often juggling various commitments at once. The humble checklist is an effective tool in the process of dividing to-do lists into practical steps, making our general existence a lot more productive. Checkmarkable is an online service that follows this very principle but is aimed at business processes in particular. Checkmarkable also provides the Checkmarkable API which makes this functionality available to developers who may want to integrate it with other applications.
This week we had 56 new APIs added to our API directory including a data warehouse service, checklist creation service, SMS and MMS messaging service, application development for vehicles platform and health claim transaction information service. We also covered an API that helps streamline fleet management. Below are more details on each of these new APIs.
Ford and General Motors kick off 2013 by opening up their car platforms to developers. Foursquare Hackaton sees 80 applications. Plus: 99 Designs Tech Team uses the GitHub API to build a bug monitor and keep bugs in check and 11 new APIs.
