This week we had 63 new APIs added to our API directory including a cloud storage service, TEDTalks video library, energy efficiency certification processing service, Microsoft services connection platform and a travel review and recommendation service. foursquareAmazon added a case study of the foursquare API and service’s use of AWS. Facebook adds new ways to coax users into buying Facebook Credits for your games. Plus: SoundCloud gets an HTML5 widget, legal time-tracking and 11 new APIs.


41 APIs Used in 7 Days: Amazon, Twitter and YouTube

This past week 23 new mashups were added to our mashup directory and 41 different APIs were used to build them. Some of the newer or less frequently seen APIs include AddThis Menu, Campaign Monitor, ChartLyrics Lyric, Google Apps Email Migration, MailChimp, Outside.in, Tropo and Walk Score. The most often used APIs this week are Flickr, Google Maps and Twitter. And the most commonly used types of APIs were Social (7 APIs, 17 mashups), Search (6 APIs, 6 mashups) and Shopping (3 APIs, 3 mashups). The list below shows which APIs were used by which mashups:

8 New APIs: Comics, Google, and Japanese Games
