12 APIs Used in 7 Days: Indeed, Wikipedia and Ordr.in

This past week 7 new mashups were added to our mashup directory and 12 different APIs were used to build them. Some of the newer or less frequently seen APIs include Ordr.in and Synonyms. The most often used APIs this week are foursquare, indeed and Twitter. And the most commonly used types of APIs were Social (4 APIs, 6 mashups), Reference (2 APIs, 2 mashups) and Mapping (1 APIs, 1 mashups). The list below shows which APIs were used by which mashups:


81 New APIs: Associated Press, Nike, eBay, Rdio and SendGrid

This week we had 81 new APIs added to our API directory including a customer referral service, news content metadata service, corporate sustainability initiative, cloud based email service, eBay notification management service and social music playback integration. In addition we covered WorldMate’s launch of their e-mail parsing API. Below are more details on each of these new APIs.

This week we had 78 new APIs added to our API directory including an acronym service, securities trading service, traffic information service, language translation service, online learning platform, web application bug tracking service, mobile application backend service and location-based mobile game. This past week 16 new mashups were added to our mashup directory and 23 different APIs were used to build them. Some of the newer or less frequently seen APIs include Abbreviations, Kynetx, PubSub, Qwerly, Superfeedr and Yahoo Music Engine. The most often used APIs this week are Google Maps, Twilio and Twilio SMS. And the most commonly used types of APIs were Social (4 APIs, 4 mashups), Reference (3 APIs, 4 mashups) and Mapping (3 APIs, 6 mashups). The list below shows which APIs were used by which mashups:
