This past week 11 new mashups were added to our mashup directory and 21 different APIs were used to build them. Some of the newer or less frequently seen APIs include OneLogin, Ordr.in, #blue, AddThis Services, Bol.com , Dailymotion, Genability, NYC Open Data and Wolfram Alpha . The most often used APIs this week are Genability, Google App Engine and YouTube. And the most commonly used types of APIs were Social (2 APIs, 2 mashups), Internet (2 APIs, 2 mashups) and Video (2 APIs, 3 mashups). The list below shows which APIs were used by which mashups:
#blue is a web service to save text messages in an intelligent, searchable manner. It’s a service of O2 UK, and sadly only currently available to O2 UK subscribers. However, it’s a rather interesting web service, and it’d be great to see more service providers use a similar service. The fully functional #blue API provides a compliment to its web based service.
This past week 12 new mashups were added to our mashup directory and 17 different APIs were used to build them. Some of the newer or less frequently seen APIs include #blue, Dribbble, GitHub, Google Reader Subscriber Statistics, Kynetx, Rotten Tomatoes and Stack Overflow. The most often used APIs this week are FanFeedr Sports News, Google Maps and YouTube. This week we had 41 new APIs added to our API directory including a digital watermarking service, link bookmarking service, blogging service, movie information and reviews database, spelling correction service, helpdesk service and rss feed reader.
