Write Now: White House Opens Beta Access to We The People API

Mark Boyd, November 4th, 2013

We the PeopleDevelopers who want to participate in a beta release of a write-enabled version of the We The People API are encouraged to sign up right now on the White House blog.

According to Ezra Mechaber on the White House blog, developers are invited to participate in a beta version of a write-enabled We The People API, but will be selected on a first-in, first-served basis. Developers can register using this webform.

Developers who gain access will be able to use the API to allow visitors on their own site, app or content platform to sign petitions that are counted and acknowledged by the White House without the end user needing to navigate to the White House’s web pages to register the petition signature.
