As another week comes to a close, we take a look back at some of the APIs that caught our attention. This week there were 37 APIs added to our directory this week and our team picked the ones that stood out. Read below for more information on each.
“UP is a bracelet and application from Jawbone that collects information about users sleep, movement, and eating activity. Jawbone provides developer access to this data to encourage the exchange of data. Up could be used with a wide array of applications such as gamification, athletic tracking, or social apps.” – Patrick

“My pick this week is the wger Workout Manager. An online tool for tracking fitness and exercise plans, what I like about wger’s offering is their muscle and exercise database. The database contains over a hundred exercises that you can pick and choose from to build a customized workout. Many of the exercise records contain important notes about proper form and execution that display in the workout overview page as a handy reference.” – Holly

“Scrapinghub – as the name implies – provides its users with web crawling and scraping services. What makes it stand out to me is how complete and clearly-documented the REST API is. Since the documentation is public, you don’t even have to create an account or buy into the service to see how it works” – Rhea
