Google App Engine 1.8.5 Now Available

Google App Engine 1.8.5 upgraded the Search API and improved PHP runtime. Google plans to participate at Zendcom (PHP developer conference) and will share its PHP improvements. The Search API allows developers to query and index millions of documents.

DISH Partners with Control4

In July of this year, DISH announced that it would open Hopper’s API to select companies. Home automation provider, Control4, has been selected as one of those companies. DISH will integrate Control4’s Simple Device Discovery Protocol (SDDP) with the Hopper.

DISH’s SVP of Product Management, Vivek Khemka, commented:

“Working with a home automation leader like Control4 is only the first step, and it’s also the direct result of our decision announced in July to open the Hopper platform and its capabilities to more companies. Our decision to work with industry leaders in the home automation industry ensures that automation systems have the ability to control the Hopper over an Internet Protocol network.”

In your opening statement, I believe you meant say DISH selected Control4 as a partner — you listed the company as Connect4 which is actually a child’s strategy game.
