ABOL Software Launches Multicarrier Shipping API

Amy Castor, August 29th, 2013

ABOL Software, a web-based shipping service, has launched its iabol API for online retailers who want to integrate a multicarrier solution into their existing tools.

Often retailers have to deal with a multitude of different carriers, especially when shipping goods to a global market. Rather than having to juggle several different shipping solutions, the iabol API gives you access to a one-stop-shop shipping solution.

According to the company’s website, ABOL’s iabol API offers centralized access to shipping services offered by more than 60 different domestic and international carriers. Among those included are UPS, FedEx, DHL, Global Mail, DHL Express, USPS, Yodel and more.

ABOL CEO Maik Goettel claims that many of the carriers his company supports do not offer their own APIs. The aiobol API fills in the gap. It is a single API that enables shippers to generate compliant labels for any ABOL supported carrier.

The iabol API allows your customers to compare rates and transit times to select the best carrier for the job. It provides shipment tracking from processing all the way up to the delivery scan. Other features include address validation, order and import management, shipment processing and management, duty calculation and more.

Pricing for the service starts at $50 a month and goes to $250 a month and over, but you can try the service for free for the first 30 days. Interested developers can learn more by checking out the developer’s portal.
