The Tradegecko API: The Path to Fulfillment

Greg Bates, June 28th, 2013

TradeGeckoTradegecko has released an API for its inventory management system.  The Tradegecko API is RESTful and HTTP GET/PUT/POST calls. According to the API documentation, it supports Oauth 2 with an open-source omni-auth strategy for those working with the Ruby on Rails development stack, and supports pagination and filtering of records. The package was developed as an Ember.js client-side Javascript, application.

Tradegecko integrates with Xero accounting software, syncs n real time, and is Xero’s number one add on. From standard features like invoices to nice bells and whistles like delivery details, it features list is too long to list  but can be found here.

Tradegecko looks to have some fun clients, featured on its blog. With post titles like “How Black Milk Got 500,000 Facebook Fans,” they are out to promote their friends, not just their platform. And they’re also out so solve problems for their clients, with posts on taking on international distribution, and business focus. A list of upcoming integrations, with the likes of Lightspeed’s point of sale system, or Salesforce CRM, for example, is available. Having integrated with Shopify earlier this year, Tradegecko looks to be blazing a trail.
