Google Releases New Versions of AdSense Management and DoubleClick for Publishers APIs

GoogleGoogle is having a very busy June; Google has released the CalDAV and CardDAV APIs to the public, launched the brand new Content Experiments API, launched the brand new Cloud SQL API, and has released a new version of App Engine (1.8.1.). Google continues the busy June trend, with the releases of AdSense Management API version 1.3 and DoubleClick for Publishers API version v201306.

AdSense Management API version 1.3

Google has announced the release of version 1.3 of the AdSense Management API which includes several new features such as Metadata for reporting dimensions and metrics, alerts and getAdCode.

The Metadata feature provides information to help developers prevent invalid dimensions and metrics occurring when generating reports. getAdCode allows applications to programmatically retrieve the code of an ad unit.

DoubleClick for Publishers API version v201306

Google has announced the release of DoubleClick for Publishers API version v201306 which includes many new features and improvements. This new version of the DFP API includes beta access of Sales Management services to select developers. The new beta sales services feature allows developers to create and track proposals, Manage a catalog of products, define and update rate cards, and reconcile monthly reports.

The new version of the DFP API also includes improvements to reporting functions. According to the announcement, more than 50 columns, dimensions, and dimension attributes have been added to reporting.
