Best New Mashups: April Roundup Featuring Twitter, Amazon eCommerce and Facebook Graph

TwitterApril brought plenty of changes for us here at ProgrammableWeb as well as in the API world. With May right around the corner, now is a good time to catch our breath and shine the light elsewhere for a moment. These mashups, all released in the last month include a location sharing platform, shipping solution, music discovery service and a catalog of free e-books.

Twenue – On Twenue users don’t tweet at a venue – they tweet TO a venue. Twenue is a platform that uses APIs from Google maps and Twitter to let users discover places and share them with their social networking contacts. APIs used include: Twitter, GoogleMaps, Foursquare. iabol – iabol is a web-based multi-carrier shipping software solution. eCommerce integrations include eBay, Amazon, Netsuite and Magento. Music Spider – MSpider.net aims to help many different types of music lovers to explore music; one user can explore music of different regions or types, another might be curious to hear music related to an artist that he/she enjoys and another may want to generate a jukebox to play background music at the office. Because the music is located on youTube this creates an opportunity to find a wide range of results (interviews, live events, singles etc.). Users create stations to store their compilations and can share stations with their ‘friends’ by posting links on their facebook timeline.
