Evernote, providers of the Evernote API, has just announced the launch of the Evernote Accelerator Program, a month-long mentorship program for developers that will begin in October 2013 and will take place at the Evernote headquarters in Redwood City, California.
The Evernote Accelerator Program was created to help a small group of entrepreneurial-minded developers use the Evernote API and platform to create viable, real-world products and applications. Up to six teams will be selected from participants of the 2013 Evernote Devcup to take part in the Accelerator Program. Winners of the 2013 Devcup Competition will not only be awarded cash prizes, but some of the best winning teams will be invited to participate in the Accelerator Program, expenses paid.
Both the Evernote 2013 Devcup and Accelerator Programs have been created in partnership with Honda Silicon Valley Lab and DOCOMO Innovation Ventures. Honda Silicon Valley Lab is sponsoring a prize for applications that provide the best enhancements to the in-vehicle experience. DOCOMO Innovation Ventures is sponsoring an award for Evernote driven applications that provide the best mobile experience.
Rafe Needleman, Evernote Platform Advocate and Leader of the Evernote Accelerator Program, states in the press release that:
“With Evernote Accelerator, we’re going beyond just offering a platform for developers to build on. This program is allowing us to team up with cool partners like HSVL and DIV to help promising young developers create innovative products that work with Evernote and to help turn their products into robust businesses.”
The Evernote Accelerator Program will run four weeks, October 21 to November 15, and Devcup Meetups will take place around the world April through June. More information can be found at the Evernote Devcup 2013 Site and the Evernote Developers Site.
