Earth Advantage will host the first ever Portland Cleanweb Hackathon will be held over 2 days, starting May 18th. The hackathon will focus on energy efficiency, transportation, water conservation, food, recycling and waste management. Developers can build web and mobile apps that address clean energy innovations and can utilize various APIs and open data sets that are available. The top app stands to take home $3500. StackMob, a leading provider of mBaaS (Mobile Backend As A Service) has announced the availability of its platform on Rackspace ® Hosting. The partnership is likely to combine the strengths of the two companies: Rackspace for its hosting platform and StackMob for its various modules and API, that allows mobile developers to build robust backends without worrying about server complexity.
