API Mashup Contest Announces 5th Competition

Eric Carter, April 8th, 2013

“The biggest API playground in the world,” API Mashups, has announced its fifth API Mashup Contest. If you have created a mashup and need investors, PR, or mentors; submit your mashup to the contest team by May 31, 2013. The API Mashup team has revamped its webiste, expanded its user and advisory bases, and is excited to review the innovative mashups that are submitted over the next few months. API Mashup Contest founder, Pavel Curda, commented:

“The new website will give the growing API community not only feedback from our mentors but also opportunities to expand their teams. We team-up with the rapidly growing IdeasWatch – the community of 5,000+ entrepreneurs and developers.”"

The API Mashup Contest commenced in June 2011. Similar to the world of APIs that fuels the competition, the contest has grown in popularity and innovation over the past few years. With another round of mashups to be judged, API Mashups has announced a new weekly newsletter and additional opportunities to interact with other API enthusiasts.

Developers from around the globe are invited to submit their mashups to be judged by a panel of expert judges. Winners will receive media exposure and be linked to advisors and angel investors. Keep up with the latest contest news at the homepage, and join SEOmoz’s Gillian Muessig’s excitement:

“The API mashups awards bring out some exciting ideas and are a great impetus to get creative juices flowing. Let’s see what the 2013 API Mashups give the world to play with.”
