Spotify Metadata API Now Available at Mashape

Janet Wagner, March 29th, 2013

SpotifySpotify has just added the Spotify Web API to Mashape, a popular marketplace where cloud APIs can be distributed, monetized, managed and consumed. Developers can use the Spotify API to search and display data such as albums, artists and music tracks from Spotify’s vast music database.

Developers can now use the Mashape test console to try out and test the Spotify API. Client libraries currently available for download include Java, PHP, Python, Ruby and Obj-C.

The ProgrammableWeb news blog has recently published posts featuring several entertaining and useful apps that use the Spotify platform such as SeatGeek and ShareMyPlaylists.

For more information about the Spotify API visit the Spotify Developers Site and the API profile at Mashape.
