SlickText Announces Plans to Release SMS Marketing API

SlickTextSlickText, a leading text messaging marketing company, has announced that the company plans on releasing an API which will make it possible for developers to integrate the SlickText platform into their applications. The number of Messaging APIs has been growing steadily and at the time of this writing, there are 261 Messaging APIs in the ProgrammableWeb Directory.

SlickText offers SMS marketing services to businesses and organizations so that customers can opt-in to receiving mobile marketing communications such as coupons, specials, alerts, reminders and more. Mobile marketing has become a popular method for promoting businesses and the SlickText platform works well for many types of industries especially retail, restaurants and schools.

The company is releasing the API so that developers can reliably integrate SlickText features and functionality into their applications. Ryan Kinal, Co-founder and CTO of SlickText states for the press release:

API is an acronym given for Application Programming Interface. The allows you to send out large quantities of SMS directly from the comfort of your website and or custom made software
