Zoom in on Photo Hack Day 4, April 6-7

Eric Carter, March 21st, 2013

Photo Hack Day 4 erupts April 6th, and runs nonstop through the weekend. The first Photo hack Day brought together photographers, web designers, photo editors, and computer scientists for the first image-centric hackathon. Since the original 200 hackers threw together almost fifty mashups in a single weekend (two years ago), Photo Hack Day has blossomed in number, creativity, and excitement as it readies itself for a fourth rendition. Lead sponsors Aviary and Facebook look forward to “[a]nother full weekend of photo centric awesomeness.”

In addition to cash prizes for the first, second, and third place overall; more than 10 API sponsors will award additional prizes to the best use of their APIs (hint: use the Aviary API well and you might just get a filter named after you!). Show up Saturday at 9:00 AM at Facebook’s Menlo Park HQ for breakfast and take-off. Prizes will be announced Sunday at 3:00 PM.

Those interested can register for free at the Eventbrite site. Register, show up, and hack the greatest image-centric app possible while filling up on beer, food, and conversation with fellow image junkies. Bring your best and you might walk away with cash, an iPad, or a righteous new camera or lens.
