Facebook Announces New Video Channel for Developers, Live Event on February 19th and Other Updates

FacebookFacebook has made several recent announcements including the enabling of API error notifications in the Facebook Developer Alerts tool, a new video channel for developers and the first Developers Live event to take place on February 19th.

Facebook has just announced that API error notifications have been enabled in the Facebook Developer Alerts tool providing app developers information about API errors, error codes and error descriptions. Facebook API alerts are sent to developers by email and Facebook.com notifications.

Facebook has also announced the launch of Developers Live, a video channel that was created to provide developers a new way of staying up to date on the latest news, tutorials, conferences, interviews, interactive broadcasts and more.

The new Developers Live video channel features content for developers of all types (mobile, game and web) as well as for publishers. Screencasts currently available on the site include:

  • Your First Open Graph App
  • Publishing Open Graph Actions Using the JavaScript SDK
  • Introduction to Mobile App Install Ads
  • Using the Facebook SDK for Android
  • Open Graph Tagging Users, Messages, and Posts
  • Open Graph Pro Tips

 

On February 19th, Facebook will be having the first live event via the new Developers Live video channel site. The event features Doug Purdy, Director of Platform Product, discussing “the top 3 things every mobile developer needs to know in 2013.”
