YouTube is making changes to its API that reflects its new video tagging policy. Lokad released a new pricing structure that follows a Freemium model. Plus: Fitness and the Facebook Open Graph, Diffbot Developer Newsletter is written in JSON and 25 new APIs.
Recently YouTube disabled video tags (also known as keywords) from being displayed to viewers. In an announcement made yesterday, YouTube told developers that they are modifying the YouTube API to make the corresponding changes. No longer will API responses include the keyword element; there is one exception:
“The exception to this rule is when you make authenticated requests to the API, and you request a video entry that’s owned by the currently authorized user. In that scenario, you will get back a <media:keywords> element that contains the full list of tags for the video, and you can read, update, or remove those video tags using the standard API operations.”

BlackLocus API: BlackLocus is a business intelligence platform. It assesses retail competitors’ item pricing. This allows ecommerce retailers to price their inventory strategically and efficiently. InterfaceLIFT Wallpapers API: The InterfaceLIFT API offers downloadable high-resolution wallpapers for Iphone, Droid, computer screens, tablets and etc. Functionality includes calling about the camera used to take a certain wallpaper picture, lens types that fit a certain camera and overall information about a user or wallpaper. Users are required to sign up with the site for authentication and pay a small fee for accessing the API information from a managed site.
LiveIntent API: LiveIntent is an email marketing platform. It offers a network for programmatic display advertising.
