The WineStein API: Your Personal Sommelier

Kevin Sundstrom, August 27th, 2012 is a wine lovers’ resource (written in Dutch) that can help track wine collections and provide wine recommendations for food pairing. The company’s artificially Intelligent advisor, “WineStein”, is designed to make pairing food and wine simple. First you select a dish, then click “show wine advice”, then WineStein quickly populates a list of recommendations. Users can easily navigate the recommendations to find reviews, detailed analysis and make a personal note to aid others in their decision. With the WineStein API developers can easily integrate this functionality into existing e-stores. provides 3 integration options for the WineStein API:
Standard: Simple implementation by incorporating a piece of HTML code.
Custom: For deeper integration the Custom option is an XML-based API that communicates with the WineStein wine-food-engine.
Other: The Company provides contact details for developers looking to discuss integration possibilities.
