The “GlueCon 15″: Attend GlueCon to See Their Demos

Adam DuVander, April 11th, 2011

API conference GlueCon is a little over a month away and the event organizers are showing their commitment to content over cash. Today Alcatel-Lucent (GlueCon community underwriter and parent company to ProgrammableWeb) and GlueCon announced the 15 companies selected to receive demo space at the conference for free, an initiative we covered in January. Among those selected are open source software, cloud solutions and, of course, several APIs.

GlueCon founder Eric Norlin said the conference is aiming to be even more developer-focused this year. Awarding free demo space is part of that goal. “We’ve created a pure meritocracy for developers looking to show off their stuff to the community and the demo pods are only the beginning,” Norlin said.

Here’s the complete list of winners:

On the first day of the conference, which runs May 24-26 in Broomfield, CO, attendees will vote on their favorite of the 15 demos. The winner will then receive keynote stage time to present on day two.

For those interested in attending GlueCon, early bird registration ends April 18. ProgrammableWeb readers can receive a 10% discount using “alu12″ as the discount code.
