This week we had 22 new APIs added to our API directory including a desktop notification service, personal information management service, stock index information service, web hosting service and television information service. Below is more detail on each of these new APIs.

babyTEL Telephone API: Telephone is a VOIP system developed by babyTEL for social networks. The Telephone API allows 3rd party developers to access Telephone’s features, and enable them in to their social site. The Telephone API allows developers to create users on the Telephone system, and allow for those users, to start the eggphone and use it to make calls.
DataFeedFile.com XML API: DataFeedFile.com (DFF) gathers data feed files from thousands of Online Stores (merchants), we categorize and process data feed files to create a usable and searchable database. DFF’s main focus is to help webmasters (Affiliates) create price comparison shopping functionality easier and faster without needing their own database.
Facebook Ads API: Provides methods to add, edit and manage advertising campaigns running within Facebook. Your ad management application can work with keywords, ad groups and even generate reports.
Financial Content Snapshot Quote API: Snapshot Quotes offer simple delivery of full-exchange real time & delayed market data in industry standard CSV format. Data can be pulled using HTTP, with integrated GZip Content-Encoding to minimize bandwidth requirements.
Find That File API: Find That File searches the web by file type, returning only results for the audio, video, or other type you want. The API allows access to findthatfile.com search engine for files/media.
FraudLabs ZIPCodeWorld United States API: The ZipCodeWorld United States Postal Code Web Service lets you find geographical and other important information in the United States. The Postal Code search returns information like: state name, city name, state abbreviation, latitude, longitude, time zone and more.
Google Apps Profiles Data API: The Profiles Data API allows client applications to retrieve and update profile information for users in a Google Apps domain. Each user profile is stored in the owning user’s Google Account, but it can be modified only by an administrator of the user’s domain. Only available for Google Apps Premier, Education, and Partner Edition–does not work with Google Apps Standard Edition or Gmail profiles.
Idescat API: The Population search API provides information on the population by sex for any territorial entity in Catalonia. It features a RESTful interface and returns data in XML, JSON, PHP, or TXT.
iTrackmine Simple API: Simple interface to pull your collection data from iTrackmine.com to use on your website. Essentially makes feeds available of your iTrackMine collections, though the text data format is proprietary.
MediaTemple API: Web hosting company MediaTemple provides an API to access many of its services, such as adding temporary disk space or rebooting the server. The API is currently in limited beta, but is expected to eventually be publicly available to any MediaTemple customer. On the blog we wrote about MediaTemple joining
O-Maniac! API: The O-Maniac! URL shortening service provides shortened URLs. The API allows you to both create shortened URLs and expand a shortened URL.
Orion API: Orion is a complex problem solver for advanced mathematics. Orion web services are designed to provide a convenient and user friendly front-end for D-Wave Systems quantum solvers as well as for a variety of other advanced software solvers. Free registration is required to access the service and documentation.
Quova API: Quova’s IP geolocation claims to have be the most accurate, with the most data available. The Quova API lets you plug into the vast world of IP intelligence, allowing you to instantly build your own Quova-powered applications for the web, desktop and mobile devices.
Simplenote API: Simplenote stores notes, lists, ideas and many other items. The Simplenote mobile app makes it easy to access and augment that personal data anywhere. The Simplenote API provides a way to build the functionality into additional applications. We covered the Simplenote API on the blog.
Socialtext API: The Socialtext ReST API includes a set of functionality allowing programmers to create, read, update, and delete much of the data in the Socialtext systems. This includes tags, pages, attachments, workspaces, users, Signals, and search results.
T-ma-tic API: The T-ma-tic API delivers structured data of similar and linked concepts so that you can create smart semantic apps. For example, the “Michael Jackson” T-ma-tic has the semecode 14995351 (unique identifier) and has the following similar T-ma-tics: Prince (musician), semecode: 57317, and is linked to the following T-ma-tics: Bad (album), semecode: 586840. Be an early adopter of this Web 3.0, SemanticWeb service by implementing the T-ma-tic search feature. TomTom WEBFLEET.connect API: TomTom WEBFLEET is a web-based service, giving you real-time, 24-hour secure access to all your vehicle management and reporting information, from any PC. WEBFLEET.connect is an API that allows you to access the WEBFLEET service through a Web-enabled application.
TVRage API: TVRage contains information on television shows, both classic and ongoing. The service contains episode lists and detailed show information. This data is available via the TVRage API, allowing applications to incorporate 20,000 detailed guides.
Xignite Index Components API: You can use XigniteIndexComponents to get the list of securities and weightings that comprise the stock indices.
Yahoo Social Directory API: The Social Directory API provides profile (identity) and connection (relationship) information about Yahoo! users. A profile is a collection of user provided information that is descriptive of the user, such as the user’s name, gender, location, photo, and relationship status. The connections of a user identify other users who might be friends and business associates.
Zoombu Fly API: XML flight search API for all countries worldwide, with coverage of hundreds of airlines. Full documentation is only available to accepted partners.
