Mike Pegg over at Google Maps Mania had an interesting post the other day on 4 ways to use YouTube to promote your mashup. As Mike notes “Harnessing the power of YouTube alongside your Google Maps mashup can help build interest and usage, as well as drive new users to your site.” He goes on to outline examples of people who demonstrate, explain, blog and boast about their mashups on YouTube. For example, the mashup Mainbase has lots of features and so benefits from this demo video on YouTube and a local Chicago TV news clip is a good promotion for Walk Jog Run. Or take the “funky” demo, as Mike aptly calls it, of Sneaker Store Finder below:
