Grazr Moves to the Next Level

GrazrOne of the more promising tools for mashups just got a boost: Grazr founder Adam Green announced in their blog they just closed a $1.5 million Series A round of financing and that industry legend Dan Bricklin, creator of Visicalc, has joined their board of directors (lead investors include folks who worked with Adam when he was CTO of Andover.net during the dotcom era). As for the product itself, they’ve just released version 1.1 with a new user interface, custom themes and other features. Check their home page for user-created examples.

While on the surface Grazr may look like just an embeddable feed-browser, as we covered in November, that is underestimating the tool — Grazr is really an application development system for feeds and their GrazrScript is a programming language for feeds. There’s a huge potential for intelligent tools in this space and this week’s announcement shows we’ll be hearing a lot more from Grazr in the future.
