21 YouTube Mashups

John Musser, September 1st, 2006

YouTubeIf you wonder which of the 267 APIs on this site people view most often you might be surprised. It’s not Google Maps, it’s YouTube. Which has been true for quite some time. But the number of mashups using YouTube has been small, until recently when they’ve started to pick-up. Today 2 new YouTube mashups were added:

  • vdiddy: Take a peek at what others are watching on the top video sites including YouTube, Grouper, Google Video and Yahoo!
  • neave.tv: A mash-up of the most creative videos found on Google Video, YouTube, Blip.tv and other video sharing sites.

This brings the total YouTube mashups listed at ProgrammableWeb to 21. View them all here.

This is by far the best YouTube mashup I’ve ever seen. Adds a whole other dimension to it!

DEZIBEL is a online mixing platform, available for everyone on this planet! You can put your favorite songs in a playlist and mix them with the crossfader. DEZIBEL has also support for vimeo videos. You can easily browse all uploaded songs from a certain user with one click. The chance to get a song you might really like is much higher. You can also enjoy playlists from other DEZIBEL users and listen to complete albums. Searching videos is much faster and more efficient in DEZIBEL. If you’ve got some time to spend, check it!
