Where are Enterprise Mashup Tools

John Musser, August 8th, 2006

DataMashupsIn another of his thoughtful posts, Dion Hinchcliffe looks at the quest for enterprise mashup tools which would allow easy, or easier, mashup-style integration in an IT context. And finds that there aren’t that many. Yet. Dion notes that widgets are one simple option, with more and more available from all the major players (although with no real compatibility between them). He also points to DataMashups.com from Applibase as one new contender, soon to offer a visual mashup builder. Expect to see a variety of tools competing in this space very soon and a “Tools” page on ProgrammableWeb where you can track them.

Hi there – according to Dion, another one of the few tools available today is Kapow Technologies. They offer a suite that integrates anything available over HTTP. See web site.

Kurt, thanks for the pointer to Kapow. I will add them to the soon-to-appear /tools page.
