Newsweek Mash-up Mashup

John Musser, March 6th, 2006

NewsweekNewsweek’s March 6th issue covers the mashup trend in Time For Your Mash-Up?. The article covers all three main flavors of mashups: music, video, and web. As with the CBS coverage last week, it’s a good, concise, mainstream introduction. Thanks to Dion Hinchcliffe for pointing me to this story.

Nice of reporter N’gai Croal to cite MashupFeed and to call-out ProgrammableWeb.com as “A terrific reference site for aspiring Web coders”.

And since the online version of the Newsweek article uses both spellings of the term it doesn’t help answer the pending dictionary and usage question: is it “mashup” or “mash-up”? I’m with Phil Wainewright on this one.
